From the morning tea ceremony to the evening lion dance performance, DK and Ivan's multicultural wedding was packed with excitement all day long! As the wedding planner and coordinator for this event, I was responsible for sourcing vendors such as the photographer, lion dance performers, and florists. I also worked to bring the bride's vision for the ceremony to life by organizing colored folding fans, which created a beautiful ombre effect at the ceremony site. In addition, I placed a petal bag on each chair for the petal toss that would take place upon the announcement of the newlyweds.
Tea Ceremony
A traditional practice that symbolizes the mutual acceptance of the bride and groom from the parents into each other’s families. During the ceremony, the couple serves the tea to their parents, who then drink it as a way to signify their recognition and acceptance of the new family member.
