GivingTuesday Fundraiser: Cocktails with a Conscience
Second Chance Studio is a nonprofit digital media company that trains and employs formerly incarcerated individuals. My motivation for taking on this project was to give back to the community by creating memorable experiences while raising funds for members of SCS.
GivingTuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. I worked alongside the SCS staff to organize the "Cocktail with a Conscience" fundraiser, which featured panel discussions, a meet-and-greet with fellows, networking opportunities, and raffle prizes. During the planning phase, I conceptualized themes and decorations, designed flyers to promote the event, invited industry experts to participate in the panel discussions, set up an event page on Eventbrite, and managed the budget. Through the "GivingTuesday" fundraiser, we reached our initial goal and raised a total of $8,000.
